Temperamental Dance

Duration: 30 min / 6 hours – loop 20 min

There is a circle of used coffee grounds on the concrete floor. Two women enter and stand, facing each other, on opposite sides. The bare breasted women are wearing white ice-skates and white fur jackets. They are each holding a sack of coffee beans, from where rhythmical music is heard. The two women cut into the coffee grounds with there skates. They slide synchronised in a circular movement towards the centre, ending back to back, as they meet in the middle. Left behind in the coffee grounds are the tracks of a compass rose.
