Temperamental Dance

There is a circle of used coffee grounds on the floor. Two women enter and stand, bare breasted, facing each other on opposed sides of the circle. They are wearing ice-skates and white fur jackets and are holding a sack of coffee beans each. Rhythmical music is heard coming out of the sacks. The two women slide synchronised, in a circular movement in dependence on a compass rose, towards the centre of the coffee grounds. The dance ends as they meet, back to back, in the middle of the circle. As they exit, the two women leave tracks in the coffee grounds behind.
